At BestHope Healing, we believe that the family can play a significant role in the treatment of a family member with SUD. Studies have shown that a positive family and Social support has been found to be related to long term abstinence and recovery. However, a negative family/social support has been associated with increased risk for relapse (SAMHSA). We look for ways to involve family members of SUD to reduce stigma and interpersonal conflicts to improve treatment outcomes.
